TV host shakes a fist at daughter's muggers

TV host Richard Madeley interrupted his daytime show to issue an angry threat to a mugger who attacked his daughter.

He waved a clenched fist at the camera and announced: 'To the person who stole my daughter's mobile phone, I would like to say this.'

An embarrassed Judy whacked him on the knee to stop his tirade.

Student Chloe Madeley, 19, is currently on a gap year and is on work experience at a PR company in Notting Hill.

She was talking on her phone as she walked along Portobello Road, west London, yesterday lunchtime when a girl ran up behind her and grabbed the phone. She was shocked but unhurt.

'Richard was angry and wanted to make his feelings known to the mugger,' a show spokesman told the Daily Mirror.
