Kylie's vintage hotpants have a shocking history

Her famous gold shorts used to belong to an escort agency madam

They have been exhibited at the V&A as one of Kylie's most famous outfits.

But it seeems the tiny gold lamé hotpants worn by the singer in her Spinning Around video once belonged to an escort agency madam.

The vintage bargain shorts, costing Kylie only 50p, were originally made 25 years ago for Michele Renée who hires out girls to wealthy clients for £1,800 a night.

She passed them onto a dancer friend who then gave them to a charity shop.

'I’m thrilled they helped Kylie’s career,' says Michele, now 60. 'I'’m such a fan – I absolutely love her.

'I was never a working girl myself. I was in the dancing business and I had the gold pants and that's it.'
