Blue heartthrob nearly emptied trash for a living
Sunday, 11 March 2007
Duncan James didn’t always want to be a musician. As a kid the ex-Blue singer was considering a career in emptying bins.
‘When I was a child I wanted to be either a WWF wrestler or a dustbin man,’ the 28-year-old reveals.
‘When the binmen came round I would rush out and ask if I could press the button for the machine that emptied the bins.’
But instead the boyband star took his mum’s advice and wisely pursued a career in music.
‘My mum taught me to believe in myself and enjoy what I do,’ he tells The Sunday Express Magazine.
‘From an early age she always supported me in my singing and acting.’
No regrets then, Duncan?
