Lindsay Lohan: I was told I was going to die

Doctors warned actress her lifestyle could be fatal

Lindsay Lohan has revealed that going into rehab in January probably saved her life.

After months of partying with celeb pals like Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, the actress admitted herself into the £20,000 a month LA rehab clinic Wonderland to fight her alcohol problem.

'I was really sick,' she confesses. 'I went to hospital and had people sit me down who said, "You are going to die if you don't take care of yourself". I heeded what they were telling me.'

And even though the 21-year-old's been spotted clubbing in LA this weekend at exclusive nightclub Teddy's, looking 'thin and tired', she insists she's on the road to recovery - with the extra support from mum Dina.

'Mum has given me some very sound advice over the years,' she tells Sunday magazine. 'She's amazing. Now I just say "no" more than I say "yes".'
