Beyoncé hepatitis scare over

Star isn't at risk from the disease

Beyoncé is not at risk from hepatitis A.

It was feared the 25-year-old may have contracted the disease after attending a Sports Illustrated party in Hollywood. A caterer was found to have acute hepatitis A and could have passed it on through poor food handling.

However, Beyonce’s spokesman Alan Nierob has revealed the singer did not eat any food at the bash.

He told the Dallas Morning News: 'Thank goodness neither one of us ate. According to the health department, she wasn’t at risk.'

The Los Angeles County Department of Health contacted Beyonce and other guests who attended the Valentine’s Day do, held in celebration of the magazine’s swimsuit issue, to recommend a vaccine if they had eaten uncooked food prepared by Wolfgang Puck Catering.
