Duncan James will quit pop for TV

Blue star axes release of new single

Former Blue star Duncan James has decided to quit music to focus on his TV career.

The 28-year-old, who's currently competing in Dancing On Ice, was due to have a new single out in the next few weeks.

But the star has now come to an arrangement with record label EMI to stop recording for the time being.

'I've decided not to release the single Amazed because there's so many other exciting things going on at the moment,' he told The Sun.

'The schedule for Dancing On Ice is so gruelling that I just don't have time to devote to music.

'There are some amazing offers coming in for TV and theatre roles so I want to focus on those.'
