Comic Relief gives Jade the thumbs down

Reality TV star given the boot from fundraiser

A pre-recorded Comic Relief spoof has been scraped because Jade Goody stars in it.

The shamed reality TV star, 25, shocked the nation with her bullying behaviour on Celebrity Big Brother.

And her actions have prompted Comic Relief chiefs to bin the joke episode of A Question Of Sport, which was filmed in November at the estimated cost of £80,000, because Jade, 25, appears in it.

A spokeswoman said: 'Recent events have now overtaken us and the show now feels out of date. It didn't make any sense that none of the panellists referred to Celebrity Big Brother and the race row.

'We had no choice but to scrap it. It looked odd and Jade didn't fit on Comic Relief. Red Nose Day is all about raising money and anything that could detract from that is not helpful.'

The planned show, which also starred Jack Dee, Frank Skinner and Dara O'Briain, will be replaced by a Never Mind The Buzzcocks special which is being hurriedly recorded in time for Red Nose Day on 16 March.
