Sharon Osbourne has been told she needs to have her gastric band removed.
The X Factor judge, 54, had the procedure to shrink her stomach in 1999.
But medical experts have told her she'll need to have an operation to remove the band within the next few weeks.
'Sharon was told she should have the band taken out a while back,' a source tells The Sun.
'It helped give her a stunning figure, but lately she's been in a bit of discomfort with it and doctors told her to have it taken out sooner rather than later.'
The device helped Ozzy's wife shrink from a size 18 to a 10, but she recently announced she was ready to face up to her food demons without it.
Now, she's going to be able to test or self-control sooner than she thought...
