Coleen McLoughlin worked at New Look

Chief WAG was a shop girl

Coleen McLoughlin used to work in a high street fashion store. And she spent her earnings on treating boyfriend Wayne Rooney.

‘I got a job in New Look when I was at school so that I could save up and buy Wayne a birthday present,’ she says. 'I worked extra hours to get him something a bit nicer.’

Now Coleen’s footballer fella has hit the big time, she can afford Chloé handbags and Matthew Williamson jackets. But the chief WAG claims she's no designer diva.

Coleen, who is currently the face of clothing range George at ASDA, claims she's just a normal girl about town.

‘Once I went to dinner at Nobu wearing a George wrap dress with a gold YSL buck belt,' the 20-year-old tells You magazine. 'A lady asked me where I got it and I said: “It’s George," but she wouldn’t believe me.

'People think: "Oh, she just does it for the money and she doesn't actually wear it." But I do.'
