Kirstie Alley will be US Vicar Of Dibley
Kirstie Alley will make her TV comeback playing America's answer to the Vicar Of Dibley.
The former Cheers star, 58, will take Dawn French's role in the US version of the popular comedy which screened its last UK episode on New Year's Day.
And Kirstie's character is likely to be even more outrageous than her British counterpart.
The pilot of the show - which will be called The Minister Of Divine - is currently being co-produced by Richard Curtis for Fox TV.
The actress will play a rebel minister who returns to her small Georgia hometown of Divine - ruffling feathers along the way.
