Eva Mendes: I regret not kissing Johnny Depp for longer

Getting to grips with her idol was just too much

Eva Mendes says she regrets not making the most of her on-screen snog with Johnny Depp when they were co-stars.

The actress has always fancied the Hollywood star – so when they had to kiss in Once Upon A Time In Mexico, she froze.

‘I was so intimidated by him,' she admits. 'It was the first time I had worked with an actor who I had a crush on as a little girl.’

And Eva, 33, also reveals that she was gutted not to get the chance to snog Brad Pitt.

‘I really wanted Mr and Mrs Smith,’ she tells Us Weekly.

‘I was 10 minutes away from auditioning when my agent left me a message telling me the part had been offered to Angelina Jolie. I got really crazy, ignored it and auditioned anyway. I really thought I had a chance!’
