Rod Stewart rakes in $1m for one hour gig

Rocker hired by business tycoon

Rod Stewart will be paid a massive $1million to perform at a billionaire's birthday bash.

The rocker, 62, has been asked to play a one hour gig to help Steve Schwarzman celebrate his 60th birthday on February 13.

The party will cost around £2.5million and will be held at New York's Park Avenue Armory.

'Rod will be flown in for the night with all expenses paid,' a source told The Sun. 'He will perform all his old favourites.'

Nice work if you can get it, Rod.
