No more Batman for Katie Holmes

Actress has opted out of second movie

Katie Holmes will not be appearing in the second Batman movie.

The actress starred as Bruce Wayne's love interest Rachel Dawes in Batman Begins, but she won't reprise her role in the sequel, The Dark Knight.

Her rep has said that the star can't do the film because of conflicts in her schedule.

She said: 'Katie was offered the movie but was unable to accept the role because of timings. She was in the process of negotiating for another project. In addition, when she returns to work, she would like to tackle a new character.'

The 28-year-old star has not been in a film since she gave birth to daughter Suri last April, with husband Tom Cruise.

Guess she's too busy hitting the January sales with Posh...
