Carol Vorderman splits up with partner

Countdown presenter ends relationship with Des Kelly

Carol Vorderman has separated amicably from her partner.

The twice-married Countdown presenter, 46, has broken up with her boyfriend of six years - sportswriter Des Kelly, 41, but both insist there was no third party involved.

The couple have been living together since 2001, along with Carol's two children, Katie, 14, and Cameron, nine.

Carol has reportedly moved out of the house they shared in central London and into a flat owned by Des in Bristol.

A friend tells the Daily Mail: 'Carol now plans to buy a house in Somerset.'

Her first marriage, to a Royal Navy lieutenant, ended after only 18 months and she later married management consultant Paddy King, the father of her children.
