Victoria Beckham flys to LA on reconnaissance mission

Posh is wasting no time when it comes to making a home for her family in Los Angeles.

The news that Becks, 31, is moving to LA Galaxy in a transfer deal worth £50million a year only broke last week.

But Victoria, 32, has already jetted out to America to suss out where the best schools, homes and celeb friends are to be found.

She'll also be getting her glad rags out to grace the red carpet for the Golden Globe awards tonight.

'Victoria's using her trip as a reconnaisance mission,' a source tells the Daily Mirror. 'She's got a shortlist of 20 properties.

'Privacy is the main concern but as the traffic in LA is so horrendous they're only looking in areas within a short drive of David's LA Galaxy training ground in Carson.'

It's thought that the couple are more likely to go for a practical home - with space for their boys Brooklyn, seven, Romeo, four, and Cruz, one, to run around in - than a flashy pad.

Tom Cruise is giving them advice on the best schools and Posh has already arranged a lunch date with J Lo so she can pump her for info on launching a fashion label.

As she flew into LA airport on Saturday night, Victoria told reporters: 'We're very excited. I'm not feeling too well. I think I caught something off one of the boys.'

Posh also admitted the decision to move was David's but the whole family agreed with his plan.
