Kate Winslet: My husband would leave me if I had plastic surgery

She never wants to have any nips 'n' tucks

Kate Winslet, 31, says her husband would leave her if she ever voluntarily went under the surgeon's knife.

The actress - who is married to film director Sam Mendes - insists she will never have plastic surgery because Sam would not approve.

'I am pathetically intrigued by the notion but Sam would leave me if I did anything like that,' she tells In Style magazine.

Kate is adamant she has no interest in changing her appearance because she is completely satisfied with her body and looks.

Despite having a hugely successful movie career, she insists she is happiest being a mother to her two children - Alfie, three, and Mia, six, her daughter from her marriage to first husband Jim Threapleton.

She explains: 'Mia said to me the other day in the car, "Mum, I love your cooking".

'To me, it was an incredibly triumphant moment, the fact that she observed I do cook their meals. It's great when the mum can be a person who represents those nurturing things for kids. My mum certainly was that.'
