Star denies fling with Salma Hayek

Penelope Cruz has dismissed rumours that she's having a gay relationship with Salma Hayek as 'rubbish.'

The star was pictured in a recent photo shoot for a US magazine grabbing actress Salma Hayek's bottom, sparking rumours that the pair - who've been friends for six years - were having an affair.

But the 32-year-old laughed off the rumours on The Late Show with David Letterman, saying: 'We did that in front of 100 photographers and the story now is that apparently we are lovers. I'm sorry to say, that is not the case!'
