Star's contract will not be renewed, says club director

David Beckham's future at Real Madrid remains unclear after reports that he has been axed by the Spanish club.
Becks' current deal expires in the summer and according to the club's sporting director, the former England captain will not be offered fresh terms.
He reportedly told Sky Italia: 'Beckham will leave us. We will not renew his contract.'
But he later said his words had been mistranslated and he actually said: 'Beckham's contract has not been renewed, yet.'
Talks regarding a new two-year deal are set to resume on Thursday.
David's spokesman Simon Oliveira said Real's offer for Beckham, whose contract expires in June, is still on the table, although the player has been allowed to speak to other clubs since 1 January about a possible move.
The 31-year-old joined Real for £25m in July 2003 but has failed to land a trophy at the Bernabeu stadium.
Clubs from across Europe and the United States are believed to be
monitoring Beckham's situation and may now make their move.
