Have yourself in stitches

That's right, arts and crafts is is the hobby-of-the-minute

If you fancy combining the New Year with a hip new hobby, get down to The Stitch & Creative Crafts Show for inspiration.

The exhibition features an array of arts including quilting, ribbon craft, paper craft, embroidery, patchwork, sewing and knitting.

You can check out the stalls and even try your hand at handicraft at one of the workshops.

A-listers like Cameron Diaz, Uma Thurman (pictured) and even Russell Crowe are fans of knitting and with the rise of cool clubs, where you can listen to DJs while knitting a scarf, it’s definitely time to get in on the act!

The next show of the year takes place at the Manchester G-Mex Centre on 26–28 January, 9am-5pm.

Don’t worry if you can’t make that date as the exhibition travels around the country throughout the year.
