Shilpa Shetty: I'll get babies from a sperm bank if I can't find a man

Actress won't give up on motherhood

Who needs a fella to have a baby? Seems Shilpa Shetty won't be put off by a lack of boyfriend material.

The Bollywood actress and CBB star has vowed to look elsewhere if she doesn't find Mr Right.

'More than a boyfriend, I really miss not having children,' she tells Weekend magazine. 'You know, one day I may have to go to a sperm bank, get artificially inseminated and have a child out of wedlock.

'I told my mum and she didn't say, "Are you mad?" She said, "Do you know how big a responsibility it will be to be a single mother?"

'I don't care. I have never lived by the norm. If I feel I want to have a child, I'll do it whether I'm married or not. In India it would be a pretty forward thing to do.'

Fair enough, Shilpa. But don't you care who the man is who fathers your child? It could be a male version of Jade Goody...
