Kate Middleton is pursued by paparazzi as wedding rumours go crazy
Sunday, 7 January 2007
With the buzz that Prince William is about to propose, Kate Middleton is being shadowed by packs of photographers who know that images of our likely future Queen are now big business.
Wills, 24, is said to be furious that his girlfriend – dubbed the new Princess Di – is being treated the same way as his late mother.
'William is very angry that nothing has changed,' one courtier told Reuters.
Police protection for Kate, 24, has been stepped up. Ten police officers were on duty to protect her on an outing to a London nightclub last week and help is on hand to make sure she gets to her four-day job as a fashion buyer for Jigsaw.
William begins his career as an army officer this week and bookmakers William Hill has cut the odds of a 2007 wedding from 6-1 to 3-1.
'All the signs are pointing towards a royal engagement and wedding,' says spokesman Graham Sharpe.
'We have closed our book on the date of the wedding after taking several bets for 19 July 2007 at odds of 66-1 which have landed us with a potential payout of almost 50,000 pounds.'Click here to see what's new in our photo gallery>>
