Jack Black: I like being fat

Actor says extra weight keeps him looking young

Actor and musician Jack Black, 37, likes being overweight - because it helps him stay looking young.

'I think heaviness helps me. It keeps the wrinkles from getting wrinkly - it puffs them out,' he explains.

Jack, who recently starred with Kate Winslet in The Holiday, believes the secret to his attractiveness is that he's average looking – and funny. Unlike major Hollywood heartthrobs, he's not intimidating.

Married last year to school sweetheart Tanya Haden, he says: 'I think my sex appeal is all down to the fact that I am perceived as gettable, whereas with people like Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt you haven't got a prayer.

'Also, it wouldn't just be dinner and a movie. A little humour goes a long way. People say it's the number one aphrodisiac, so I must be very sexy.'
