Madge helps out at British Comedy Awards
Thursday, 14 December 2006
Madonna managed to laugh off Jonathan Ross's bad taste adoption joke when she helped present a gong at the British Comedy Awards.
The singer, 48, had come on stage to give an award when host Jonathan told her: 'Congratulations on your lovely little black baby David.'
But Madge managed to keep her cool and replied: 'You might be going home with a black eye.'
Winners included Charlotte Church for Best Female Comedy Newcomer, Catherine Tate for Best TV Actress and Stephen Merchant managed to beat Extras co-star Ricky Gervais to win Best TV Actor.
