Heather Mills' DIY divorce

Model saves a bit of cash by doing to court alone

Heather Mills

Heather Mills will represent herself in her divorce battle with Sir Paul McCartney.

Lady M has abandoned expensive barristers for some of the hearings in a bid to control the mounting costs.

Heather, 38, represented herself in the High Court on Wednesday.

She also represented herself last week when she applied for Sir Paul to be kept out of her Hove home and requested access to the couple’s North London mansion.

A source told the Daily Star: 'She is an intelligent woman and felt she was capable of handling this. By representing herself, she felt she could cut down costs.'

The ex-glamour models is reported to be seeking an £80 million private settlement with Sir Paul, who has an estimated £825 million fortune.

Heather is still being advised by Princess Diana’s divorce lawyer Anthony Julius on some of the financial aspects of the case.

Paul, 64, filed for divorce in July after four years of marriage, citing Heather’s 'unreasonable behaviour.'
