Mel B hires top lawyer as she vows to get revenge

Spice Girl turns scary to fight Eddie Murphy

Jilted Mel B is hiring a top lawyer to help her stand up to Eddie Murphy in court.

The former Spice Girl, 31, was unceremoniously dumped by the Beverly Hills Cop star earlier this week when he told a Dutch TV station it was over between them.

And Eddie announced that he doubted that the baby pregnant Mel is carrying was is.

But the Leeds lass is determined to sort out her ex, who she dated for six months, and spent yesterday in LA talking to lawyers.

A friend tells The Sun that Mel is ready for a battle. 'He's going to get a shock if he thinks I'm going to take this kind of treatment lying down,' she reportedly told her pal.

'He's a cheating, lying scumbag - he's the father of my baby and he knows it.'

In a statement Mel said: 'I am obviously distressed at the comments made by Eddie Murphy to the media. I have no idea why anybody would want to conduct themselves about such a personal matter in such a public way.'
