Jamelia slams Leona

Pop Princess doubts X Factor hopeful's chances

Mouthy Jamelia has said she doesn't think X Factor hopeful Leona Lewis has what it takes to survive in the music industry.

Speaking out on the Hit 40 UK show the singer, 25, said: 'Leona's great, she has an amazing voice - but it's a bit Mariah Carey circa 1990.

'I don't know how she would fit into the music industry.'

Her comments have outraged Leona's mentor Simon Cowell.

'I am getting very angry,' he tells The Sun. 'Someone is trying to get at Leona through launching a dirty tricks campaign.

'It's completely unnecessary, Leona is a very talented girl and all this is very unfair.'
