Singer lost the plot but now back on track

She's just published her diaries, Dirty Blonde, and Courtney Love admits that two months ago she had ‘a bit of a nervous breakdown’.
‘I just ate ice cream very angrily in my bedroom and packed on the pounds,’ she reveals, ‘but otherwise, I’m pretty good.’
Widowed when husband Kurt Cobain committed suicide in 1994, the singer is estranged from her parents. Courtney hasn’t spoken to her dad for 20 years and only to her mother a couple of times in the last 15.
After battling drug problems, she keeps the demons away with chanting.
‘This is my third attack at Buddhism,’ she tells Metro. ‘The first time I went for it, it got me off Hollywood Boulevard and got my band Hole to where it got. I ended up with a great husband and a wonderful child.’ (Daughter Frances Bean Cobain is 14.)
Now Courtney, who appeared in the movie The People Vs Larry Flynt, hopes to do more acting.
