Singer used to arrange flowers for a living

Outspoken singer Lily Allen has been on a whistle-stop five-city tour in the USA to see if she can launch her career there.
The 21-year-old describes herself as being 'f***ing Lazy', but after going straight to No 1 in the UK with her debut single Smile – an original reggae-pop mix – her record company wants her to win fans across the Atlantic.
‘I didn’t think it would be this hard. I never realised how much of this job is just selling yourself as a product,’ she tells The Times.
The daughter of actor Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen, Lily ridicules taboid headlines about her but has readily admitted: 'I've taken drugs and I have sex and give blowjobs and like a drink'.
Her American tour has meant early starts and a relentless schedule but Lily's used to setting her alarm clock...
Before her chart success, she worked as a florist. 'It was nice for a while,' she admits, 'but I couldn't cope with getting up at 4am to buy stock and being told what to do.'
