Brad & Angelina's Thanksgiving in Vietnam

The couple cruise around Ho Chi Minh City on a motorbike

After spending their first Thanksgiving holiday together aiding earthquake victims in Pakistan last year, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie made going global a tradition this year, visiting Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday.

The couple started with a self-guided tour of the Vietnamese city and then dined at a popular local restaurant converted from an old temple.

They were spotted cruising around the city, formerly known as Saigon, on a motorcycle – with Pitt driving and Jolie perched on the back, the Associated Press reports.

Asked by a local newspaper how he felt about traveling the busy streets, Pitt replied, "There will be no problem," adding, "We had a wonderful day in Vietnam."

The local press wasted no time in snapping photos, some of which appeared Friday in state-run newspapers – but not everyone was starstruck. A construction worker in Hanoi told Reuters: "I saw the pictures in the newspaper but still have no idea why the fuss about these Westerners. But now maybe I will watch their movies to know why."

Pitt and Jolie, who have been in India while Jolie films A Mighty Heart, arrived in Ho Chi Minh City just days after President Bush and his wife Laura visited the area Monday. The Bushes were in Vietnam for the 21-member Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Hanoi.

Earlier this week, Jolie made an unannounced visit to son Maddox's birth country, Cambodia, where she pledged to aid conservation efforts.
