Posh and Becks help brain tumour boy

Couple fork up cash for special wheelchair

Victoria and David Beckham

Victoria and David Beckham have stepped to help a sick 13-year-old soccer fan, after hearing he is battling his fourth brain tumour.

The couple have paid an estimated £3,000 for a special joystick-controlled wheelchair for teenager Oliver Rycraft, after his physiotherapist wrote to them of his plight.

Posh's mother Jackie rang Oliver's mum Debbie, to break the good news.

Debbie, 39, told The Sun: 'I thought it was a joke. When it sunk in, I just sobbed thank you.'

Oliver has already battled three brain tumours in six years. Doctors discovered the latest earlier this year. But the special wheelchair will help him get around and be independent.

A spokesman for the Beckhams said: 'They like to help where they can, but they don't comment on these things.'
