Take That on track for No 1

Boyband due to top charts for first time in 10 years

Take That are on track for their first No 1 hit in 10 years.

Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange reunited earlier this year for a sell-out arena tour.

And their latest single Patience is now shifting more than 20,000 copies on its first day of release.

As they're outselling their closest rival Emma Bunton by more than two to one, it looks as if come Sunday they'll be at No 1.

The last time they were at the top of the charts was with the Bee Gees' How Deep is Your Love in 1996.

HMV spokesman Gennaro Castaldo says: 'Patience is well on its way to giving the band their ninth UK No 1. It also makes them early contenders to top the singles chart this Christmas.'

Lets hope that they boys' new album Beautiful World, which is out next week, goes down just as well.
