Kelly Brook: My parents disapproved of Billy at first

Actress says Mum and Dad didn't like her bloke

Kelly Brook has revealed her parents gave boyfriend Billy Zane a big thumbs down when they first started dating.

The couple met last year on the set of steamy thriller, Three, and Mr and Mrs Brook weren't best pleased.

'They were furious that I was seeing him,' Kelly, 26, admits. 'They thought, "The leading man? God Kelly, how predictable." It doesn't matter that he's a movie star. They just wanted to make sure he'd make me happy.'

Kelly took 40-year-old Billy home to Rochester in Kent to prove to her mum and dad that he's a great guy.

'I had to work harder at that than anything,' the actor admits to Sunday magazine. 'But all power to them. They are Kelly's parents and they were looking out for her.'

Now, of course, he's one of the family – he and Kelly have bought a £600,000 farm house in Kent and plan to marry in Greece next year.

'I can't imagine doing anything without Billy,' says Kelly. 'I've found my best friend.'
