Emma Bunton: Baby Spice would be frowned upon today
Emma Bunton doesn’t think she'd get away with her Baby Spice image of pigtails and mini-skirts today because of the apparent rise of paedophilia in modern society.
Now 30 and a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, Emma told The Guardian Weekend magazine: 'That's the thing, isn't it? It's just a shame... it was so innocent. At the time I never thought of the whole paedophilia thing.'
When asked if she realised how ambiguous her Baby Spice image was, Emma replied: 'Oh my God! I didn't. Not at all. But now... it's true, of course.
'I just think, oh my God, because I was obviously dressed up in tiny skirts. But I never thought anything of it.'
