Sharon Osbourne lashes out at Chris Tarrant

X Factor judge launches foul-mouthed tirade at quiz show host

Sharon Osbourne mouthed off at Chris Tarrant during an ad break on Saturday night's X Factor.

Celebrity audience members were invited to pose questions to the judges when Sharon, 54, lashed out.

Chris, 60, who recently split from his wife, Ingrid, ridiculed Sharon's husband Ozzy by joking that he wasn't very articulate.

Furious Sharon replied: 'Don't you dare diss my f***ing family. How dare you say those f***ing things - at least I'm in a f***ing marriage.'

A witness told The News Of The World: 'Chris looked horrified and was totally gobsmacked. He looked really uncomfortable and seemed very relieved when the stand-up guy intervened and talked over the top of Sharon.'

Sharon refused to apologise to Chris but she made a public apology to audience members just before the show went live on air.
