Michael Jackson was booed off stage last night in London as his comeback at the World Music Awards flopped.
The singer, 48, picked up the Diamond Award for selling more than 100 million albums in his career.
But when it came to picking up the microphone, his performance was less than sparkling.
Michael was just four lines into his song We Are The World when his voice began to crack and falter. He stopped singing and told the stunned audience: 'I love you, I love you.'
Fans began to boo as the shaken star then shuffled off stage.
One onlooker told The Daily Mirror: 'This was supposed to be the great return of the King of Pop but it ended up a shambles.'
A spokesman for the event says that the sound system cut out and that Michael wasn't to blame.
