Melinda Messenger says she suffers serious bouts of the blues - and even thinks she may be manic depressive.
The model-turned-presenter's struggle with post-natal depression after the births of her two younger kids - Flynn, four, and two-and-a-half-year-old Evie - have been well-documented, but she's now revealed the true extent of her illness.
'Often depression hits me when everything seems perfect,' she tells the Daily Mail Weekend.
'This summer, at my lowest point, I sat among the trees and flowers; I could hear the children playing and it was idyllic. But I couldn't move. I was sobbing...'
Mum of three Melinda, 35, who has been married to husband Wayne for eight years, adds: 'It is possible that I'm bi-polar, but I don't want to take medication. I'd rather feel what I have to feel.
'In a sense I'm grateful for the lows because they give me a measure of what it is like to be truly happy.'
