Heather Mills dated Gladiators' Hunter

TV athlete was her man before Sir Paul says a pal

Before Heather Mills crossed paths with Sir Paul McCartney, she dated James Crossley, 33 – aka Gladiators star Hunter.

They were an item for three months, says a close pal of the TV beefcake.

Hunter, 38, and Heather met at a charity bash for landmine victims in November 1997.

'They were drawn together at once,' Hunter's mate tells The News Of The World. 'You'd have to be blind to miss the chemistry between them.

'But it was Heather who called the shots at the end. She was very feisty and ambitious.'

A year and a half later the ex-glamour model and party girl was introduced to Sir Paul at The Mirror's Pride of Britain Awards.
