Fashion industry crowns Kate Moss queen of the supermodels

Kate fights backlash to come out on top

Kate Moss has been crowned queen of the supermodels by the fashion industry.

The 32-year-old was named Model Of The Year at the British Fashion Awards last night - confirming that she's still a force to be reckoned with.

Organisers sang her praises and said: 'Kate Moss is a fashion icon and without a doubt one of the most prolific models in the industry.

'She has now been modelling for over 15 years and remains at the top of her game. She is currently in 14 advertising campaigns and her recent cover credits include Vogue, Pop, V, I.D., Vogue Homme, W and Vanity Fair.'

Last year Kate's career took a knock when grainy pictures of her allegedly snorting cocaine were published. Over the next few days a host of her high profile contracts were cancelled.

But she's since been signed up for a number of massive campaigns and this award confirms that, rightly or wrongly, she's still fashion's number one girl.
