Kate Winslet: Models have no flesh on their bones

Actress speaks out against skinny minnies...

Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet bares all in her new movie, Little Children, but she's more concerned with 'looking real' than whether her boobs looked good.

'Having had two children, it is very important to me that women on film are portrayed as real women,' she says.

The 31-year-old's proud of her healthy size 12 figure, and nothing gets her blood boiling more than than the constant portrayal of stick-thin models in the media.

She blows off steam to The Sunday Times Culture magazine: 'Well done, everyone! Well done! Really clever of you to breed a whole new generation of anorexics. Excellent!

'You're not educating these young women about the world, about poverty, about the environment or anything that's interesting.

'The majority of clothes in these runway shows are worn by people who don't have any flesh on their bones at all. What the hell is going on? It's so frightening. It makes me so mad.'
