Sophie Anderton is attacked in a nightclub

Model rushed to hospital after being kicked in the leg

Sophie Anderton was recovering last night after being injured in a nightclub.

The Celebrity Love Island star, 29, was kicked in the leg following an argument with a man at the Aura club in Picadilly on Saturday night.

The former Gossard model says: 'Some drunk attacked me as I was leaving my friend's birthday party. It was so painful I fell down the stairs and was out cold. I've cancelled a holiday to Spain as I can't walk.

'I'm still in shock and am reporting it to police.'

A witness to the accident tells the Daily Mirror: 'Sophie was having heated words with the man. He then lost it and kicked her hard in the leg. She passed out and was taken to hospital.'
