Twins for Amanda de Cadenet

A girl and a boy for the 'wild child' TV presenter

Amanda de Cadenet has given birth to twins.

The former 'wild child' TV presenter, 34, and her rocker boyfriend Nick Valensi – guitarist with cool indie band The Strokes – are the proud parents of a boy and a girl, each weighing 6lbs.

The boy had to spend his first day in intensive care at a private Los Angeles hospital near to the couple's home.

Amanda shot to fame as a teenage presenter of C4's The Word in the 80s. She married Nick at a secret ceremony in the Bahamas during the summer.

A friend said: 'The girl's going to be called Ella but they haven't chosen a name for the boy yet.'
