Charlotte Church sees red

Star sports new hair colour for Ashlee Simpson's birthday

Charlotte Church showed off a fab new look when she pitched up at Ashlee Simpson's swanky London birthday party.

The 20-year-old singer and TV presenter teamed her slinky red hair-do with a figure-hugging dress for the bash at the Embassy nightclub.

But it's thought that the American host, who's starring as Roxie Hart in Chicago, was less than impressed with the turn-out for her 22nd birthday - her guests also included reality TV stars Bianca Gascoigne and Nikki Grahame.

At one point she was reportedly overheard ranting on her phone saying: 'Who are these people? I don't even know who they are!'

Let's hope she wasn't referring to talented Charl who treated her to a special rendition of Happy Birthday.
