Summer feminine styles are out for autumn/winter. And, as ever, US star Ashley Olsen is on top of the androgynous trend with these fabulous wide-legged trousers.
Ashley’s taken style notes from Hollywood sirens Marlene Dietrich and Katharine Hepburn (pictured) who gave mannish chic its elegance in the 40s and 50s.
The runways have looked to these classically chic icons too, with tomboy tailoring and high-waisted trews with a sophisticated slouch featuring in Marni, Ralph Lauren and Fendi’s (bottom right) collections.
