Farrah Fawcett has cancer surgery

Former Charlie's Angels star faces chemo

Charlie's Angels star Farrah Fawcett is undergoing treatment for cancer.

The actress, 59, has had surgery to remove a tumour in her lower intestine and faces chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions.

Farrah is said to be 'devastated' by her diagnosis which comes just weeks after she wowed the crowds at the Emmy awards with her youthful looks.

In an interview with the National Enquirer magazine a friend says: 'Though she looked magnificent at the Emmys, Farrah had been feeling faint, suffering abdomen pain and having cold sweats for two months.

'She's lost about 6lb in the last few weeks.'
