Bob's daughter and the misunderstanding about a coat

Peaches Geldof left a London shop in tears yesterday because a security guard believed she was shoplifting.

The outspoken daughter of Sir Bob was questioned by bosses at Oxford Street store Urban Outfitters for nearly an hour because staff thought she was about to leave without paying for a coat.

One shopper said: 'Peaches looked furious as she was escorted off by the guard. The whole store went quiet as she was taken upstairs.'

But last night a friend of the 17-year-old told The Sun: 'This was all a huge misunderstanding. Peaches was simply shopping and had a coat under her arm. There was no question of her not paying for it.'

As she left Urban Outfitters following her ordeal, Peaches shouted at stunnned bystanders: 'All I did was go shopping!'
