Louis Walsh’s Miss World date

X Factor star to judge beauty contest

Louis Walsh has signed up as a judge for this year’s Miss World competition.

The X Factor panelist, 54, will join Denise Van Outen and Kelly Holmes at the contest in Warsaw, Poland, which airs on Saturday night on Challenge TV.

‘I’m looking forward to judging a completely different kind of competition,' Louis told The Sun. 'I just hope that none of them start singing!'

Louis already has some experience judging beauty contests - he sat on the panel for the Miss Ireland heats last year.

Nine judges will chose the winner from 104 entries from all over the world.
