Boyband 5IVE are following in the footsteps of Take That and East 17 by reforming.
But the band will be without original member Sean Conlon, 25, who is off pursuing a solo career.
Ritchie Neville, 27, Richard ‘Abs’ Breen, 27, Jason ‘J’ Brown, 30, and Scott Robinson, now 26, announced their reunion on Wednesday - fittingly, five years to the day since the group split up.
The group will be keeping their name, despite now only being a foursome. Scott defended the lack of name change, saying: ‘5IVE’s a brand not a number.’
5IVE will be self-financing their comeback and have reportedly been working with songwriter Guy Chambers, who wrote Angels with Robbie Williams, on a forthcoming album.
Ritchie told yesterday’s press conference at the Bar Academy Islington: ‘We’re not money-grabbing like all the other reformed bands.’
J chipped in: ‘If we flop, we’ll move to Goa.’
