Kate Winslet reveals stretch marks in new film

Curvy Kate films steamy scene and lets it all hang out

With super-skinny actresses dominating the TV and film industry, Kate Winslet's womanly curves have always been a breath of fresh air.

And the mum-of-two's laid back approach to body image is no different in her new film. The 32-year-old plays a despairing mother in Little Children – out on 6 October – who falls for a man she meets at a playground.

But Kate did suffer some last minute jitters before filming the steamy love scenes with actor Patrick Wilson.

In an interview with the Daily Mirror she says: I was very very nervous about it but it's such a huge part of the story that I was immersed in the characters.

'I just thought to myself, "You know what, I'm playing a woman who is a mother and therefore it stands to reason that not every part of my body would be perfect" - which, by the way, it's not - and who is perfect?'
