Steve Irwin daughter pays tribute to crocodile hunter dad

Bindi addresses crowd of thousands at memorial service

The daughter of Steve Irwin paid a moving tribute to the 'best daddy in the world', at a memorial service.

Bindi, now eight, addressed a crowd of 5,000 mourners at her father's zoo in Queensland, while up to 300 million people across the world watched the service on TV.

She said: 'My daddy was my hero. He was always there for me when I needed him. We filmed together and loved being in the Bush together.'

Bindi's mum Terri clutched her son Bob, two, and wept as her daughter spoke. She was too upset to speak herself.

The service came 16 days after Steve, 44, was killed when a stingray's barb pierced his heart.
