Ali Bastian joins The Bill

Hollyoaks star switchs to cop soap

Hollyoaks actress Ali Bastian will play Sun Hill's latest recruit in police drama The Bill.

The 25-year-old, who's character Becca Dean was stabbed to death on the Channel 4 soap last night, will first hit our screens as PC Sally Armstrong in July.

'Sally certainly knows her own mind and what she wants out of life and I think there are going to be a few casualties along the way,' Ali tells The Sun.

'I'm looking forward to getting started.'

The actress isn't the only former Hollyoaks star currently working at the fictional nick. Gary Lucy has also made the transition from playing a troubled youngster in the teen soap to being a copper in The Bill.
